Rodney Spencer of Free Spirit Farm will teach a bow building course at Seaport Market on Sundays during February.  Participants will begin with a piece of  FSC certified Nova Scotia white ash and create their own selfbow by carving and shaping the wood into a bow custom made for their draw length. The class will meet on Sundays from 11 to 3 in the cruise corridor beginning on Feb 12^th.  Class fee of $150.00 includes all materials, use of workbenches and tools, written instructions and personal hands-on instruction, and an Introduction to Archery manual. Class size is limited to five students, and participants can expect to complete their bow in three weeks or less.  A waiting list will be maintained for people who want to join the class as space becomes available.

A lifelong traditional archer and experienced bowyer, Rodney led bow building courses for a number of years at the annual primitive archery shoot held by New Annan Archers.  Rodney is also a Canadian Certified Level 1 Archery Coach and a Certified International Bowhunting Instructor.
